Olomouc sledge hockey team Olomouc sledge hockey team was founded in september 2002. During the season 2002/2003 we played the Czech sledge hockey cup with teams from Zlin and Kolin. We had little money for playing and only a few players, so that´s why we finished in third place in this cup. During the season 2003/2004 we played in a new tournament - The Czech sledge hockey league because there were more clubs in the Czech republic: Olomouc, Kolin, Zlin and the new clubs: Ceske Budejovice and Karlovy Vary. After the first round we were in third place. In the play-off in this tournament we lost the semifinal match with Ceske Budejovice 0:1 and we had to play only for third and fourth place with Kolin. We won 4:1 and we were awarded the third prize. During the season 2004/2005 we played the Czech sledge hockey league again with the same teams. We had more and better players, but after the first round of the Czech sledge hockey league we only came in third place. We played the semifinal match of the play-off with Karlovy Vary. We won 3:1 and went to the final match. In the final match we won 2:0 against Zlin and we were the champions of the Czech republic. It was a great succes. During the season 2005/2006 there was the new team in the Czech sledge hockey league: Sparta Praha. The season 2005/2006 was bad for Olomouc. After the first round of the Czech sledge hockey league we only was in fifth place. We didn´t play the play-off. The champions of the Czech republic was Sparta Praha, Karlovy Vary was in the second place and Zlin was in the third place. During the season 2006/2007 there were identity clubs like one season ago. These season was better than 2005/06, because Olomouc sledge hockey team finished on the fourth place after the first round of the Czech sledge hockey league. But we lost two semifinal matches with Sparta Praha and we had to play only for third and fourth place with Zlin. We lost again and we were on the fourth place, Zlin was on the third place, Karlovy Vary was in the second place again and the champions of the Czech republic was Sparta Praha. During the season 2007/2008 there were identity clubs like one season ago. But these season wasn´t good for us. Olomouc sledge hockey team finished on the fifth place after the first round of Czech sledge hockey league. We didn´t play the play-off. The champions of the Czech republic was Nowaco Sharks Karlovy Vary, Sparta Prague was in the second place and Kolin was in the third place. And now, during the season 2008/2009 we have maybe 21 players that train once a week in the Olomouc ice skating ring and we are playing in the Czech sledge hockey league with five teams: Zlin, Kolin, Ceske Budejovice, Karlovy Vary and Sparta Praha.
